Quality Engineer [Turkey]

We are currently looking for a Quality Engineer (Temporary ) to join our Operations – Technical. Quality Engineer is going to support and develop co-man* quality & production teams in terms of quality & food safety basics (e.g. food safety, HACCP, auditing, hygiene, pest control, chemical contaminants, microbiology food safety, sensory, statistical process control, net content management etc.) and is going to provide continuous communication between co-man and market quality team.
  • He/She will work at a dedicated co-man site for a limited time period, every month and will ensure food safety and compliance requirements are met properly, deviations are reported in time and control points are monitored effectively.


Location: Nevşehir (application from around close cities are welcomed - travelling/ accommodation part to be discussed during interviews)


Main Responsibilities;


Ensure full compliance and zero defect at the co-manufacturer via:


  • Release responsibility of the products:
  • By checking OPRPs effective actualization, verification and monitoring
  • By ensuring sensory panels runned properly, tasting products with panel team
  • Assurance of PRPs effectively implemented, starting with cleaning, allergen & pest management highlighted topics
  • Management of quality related KPI's at coman site
  • Management of defects and any Quality near-miss/ incident with coman team and reporting of issues on time
  • Developing coman crew (both production & quality) crew for Nestle Quality competencies, coaching regularly to set-up a food safety culture at shopfloor
  • Follow up and resolution of consumer/ customer complaints together with coman shopfloor & leadership team


Moreover, in periodic review level with the coman and relevant Nestle stakeholders:

  • Annual GLP audits and P-tests
  • Follow up of projects upcoming with the coman, both capex and I&R
  • Follow up raw material localization and approval projects
  • Attending trials of new launches & shelf life evaluations, in junction with R&D of CPW Regional team, by ensuring QA to do list completion before first industrial productions (+ transpotation trials)


Qualifications required for this position are as follows;


  • University degree (Food Engineering)
  • 2-3 years of experience in Food & Beverages industry, preferably in Cereals or equivalant technologies
  • Advanced English
